Craig is the Director at R A Aughey & Associates and has been with the firm since 1984. He holds a Public Practice Certificate, is a Registered Tax Agent and is a qualified FCPA. He is also an authorised representative for SMSF Advisers Network and as such is fully qualified to provide advice on self managed superannuation funds. Craig’s role also involves auditing, business advice, tax planning, preparation of financial statements, BAS returns and fringe benefit returns along with preparation of income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, companies, trusts and superannuation funds. He reviews all work done by book-keeping staff within the office to ensure compliance with CPA Australia quality assurance standards and the Australian Taxation Office’s tax and legislative requirements. Craig is also a member of the Rotary Club and the treasurer of the Port Pirie Contract Bridge Club.
Michelle is the Practice Manager for RA Aughey & Associates. She commenced work with the practice as a book-keeper in 1970 and had a number of years away from the firm to raise her family and returned at a later date to continue her employment. In 2002 she left the firm and worked for 4 years in the Public Sector and gained a wide and varied range of skills through her role in the Health System. She returned to RA Aughey & Associates in 2006 as the Practice Manager. Her role as Practice Manager has a strong focus on customer service. She also manages staff workflow, allocations, the firms lodgment program, management of employees, staff performance and appraisals and overseeing marketing for the firm is also part of her role. She is also responsible for maintaining document record systems, quality assurance processes and ensuring the firm adheres to the Work Health Safety practices. Michelle provides services in book-keeping, preparation of BAS returns, financial statements and taxation returns for individuals, partnerships, trust and companies.
Jasmine commenced work with the firm in 2013 and is a tax and business advisor who specialises in small business, superannuation, property tax and salary tax law. Her qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting, Registered Tax Agent and she is a Fellow Certified Practising Accountant (FCPA) with the CPA Australia. She is currently studying her Advanced Diploma in Share Trading and Investment. Her role at R A Aughey & Associates includes auditing, business advice, tax planning, preparing taxation returns for individuals, partnerships, companies, trusts and superannuation funds, preparing financial statements, and BAS Statements.
Dale commenced work with the firm in 2016 and comes from Financial Planning background. His qualifications include a Bachelor of Business and Advanced Diploma in Financial Services (Financial Planning),. He is currently studying towards his CPA qualifications. Dales’ role at R A Aughey & Associates includes auditing, tax planning, preparing taxation returns for individuals, partnerships, companies, trusts and superannuation funds, preparing financial statements, and BAS Statements.
Hayley commenced work with RA Aughey & Associates in 2009 as a trainee. During that time she completed her Certificate 3 in Business. While in this position she was awarded the 2010 Southern Flinders Business Employment and Training’s inaugural “Outstanding Trainee Award”. Since then Hayley’s role has evolved and her current position within the office is as an “Accounting and Clerical Support Officer”, she is also studying Certificate IV in Business Administration. Hayley’s clerical role includes lodgment of BAS and taxation returns, payroll, processing of Cashflow Manager, business banking and accounts payable and receivable, client services, liaising with the ATO and ASIC on behalf of the firm and maintaining computerised accounting records. Hayley also provides training to clients and non-clients in accounting software programs including Cashflow Manager and MYOB AccountRight. Hayley is also responsible for bookkeeping, preparation of BAS Returns, individual and business taxation returns and financial statements.
Caitlin started work with RA Aughey & Associates in 2006 as an Administration Officer. Caitlin’s role is largely focused on customer service, along with being responsible for maintaining the firms’ electronic and paper filing system, making client appointments, assisting with telephone enquiries and typing of all documentation. Emily commenced work with RA Aughey & Associates in 2011 as a trainee and during that time her role encompassed a wide range of Administration duties. On completion of her traineeship Emily took on the role of Receptionist / Customer Support Officer at RA Aughey & Associates. Her role is very client focussed and includes a large range of client service work such as telephone enquiries, making client appointments, creating office documents for staff and clients, business banking, accounts payable and receivable, invoicing and monthly debtors, payroll duties for clients, processing of Cashflow Manager, assisting with the maintenance of the firms lodgment program and preparation and lodgment of BAS / IAS and Individual taxation returns. Emily is also responsible for the Work Health Safety audits of the firm and managing the company statutory reporting requirements (Corporate Compliance).
Vicky started work with RA Aughey & Associates in August 2016 after completing Certificate IV in Accounting and Certificate IV in Bookkeeping in March 2016. Vicky is involved in bookkeeping, processing of Cashflow Manager and MYOB Essentials. She is also responsible for preparation of BAS Returns, as well as auditing. She also assists with telephone enquiries and the making of client appointments.
