Aughey's supports our local community and offers audit services to advise on the consistency and reliability of your organisation's financial information. We work with numerous sporting clubs, and in addition to the work we conduct, we also sponsor some of these organisations as one of the ways that we give back to our community.

A club audit aims to ensure that the club is in good financial health and has been compliant with Australian Accounting Standards. Like a typical account audit, a club audit examines the effectiveness of a club's internal reporting procedure and identifies any instances of fraudulent reporting.


Our experienced team conducts audits by thoroughly and closely reviewing business operations to pinpoint any potential weaknesses or irregularities. Aughey's role is to be up-to-date on all requirements so we can help to overcome any compliance problems.

To be able to conduct an audit on your organisation to the best of our ability, we need access to:

  • Cashbooks, written up and balanced for the year, plus journals or ledgers that the organisation uses for records
  • Bank statements for the whole year
  • Copies of deposit slips and cheque butts
  • Receipt books with duplicate and original documents, plus any unused receipt books
  • Vouchers for payments made by the club
  • Receipts or copies of cheques paid to your club
  • Copies of minutes from your management meetings to show how financial decisions were made
  • Any previous audit statements
  • Financial statements for the year being audited
  • Relevant financial documents
